More about Duckpin Bowling

Try duckpin bowling

A different kind of bowling

Duckpin bowling puts a playful twist on traditional ten-pin bowling. The game uses smaller, lighter balls and shorter pins, giving you a different challenge on the lanes. The smaller balls are easy for young children to grip and roll, while their lighter weight can also make duckpin bowling a comfortable choice for older players. With the aim of knocking down as many pins as possible across each frame, it's an accessible way for the whole family to enjoy bowling together.

Tips for your next game

A little accuracy goes a long way in duckpin bowling. Take your time to line up your shot, focus on the pins and use a controlled throw rather than relying on power. Smaller balls make it easier to adjust your technique, while aiming for the centre of the pins can help you knock down more with each roll. Keep track of your score and experiment with your technique to find what works best for you.

Common questions

Everything you need to know before you visit.

Putt & Play Leeds is open Mon-Thu 10am-10pm, Fri 10am-11pm, Sat 10am-midnight, Sun 10am-10pm. Those are our standard weekly hours -- bank holidays, school holidays and one-off events can change them, so it's worth checking this page before you set off. Availability late in the evening is the first thing to go on a busy night, so if you want a late game, book it rather than turning up at the door.

Putt & Play Leeds is at The Springs,, Century Way, Leeds, LS15 8GB. We're on a leisure and retail park, alongside its other restaurants and attractions. Put LS15 8GB into your sat nav or maps app and it will bring you to us. For anything local -- where to park, the best drop-off point, which bus stop is closest -- call us on 08442483226; the team here know the answers better than any map does.

There is a customer lift at this centre. Accessibility differs from building to building, so the useful answer is a specific one rather than a general promise. Call us on 08442483226 and we'll tell you exactly what to expect at Putt & Play Leeds -- step-free routes, accessible toilets, lane ramps for wheelchair users, and where to park closest to the door. We'd rather have that conversation before you travel than after.

Outside food and drink isn't permitted, but you won't need it. Our Bar & Diner serves a full menu -- burgers, wings, pizza, sharing platters, kids' meals, soft drinks and cocktails -- and you can order from your lane and eat between frames rather than breaking off. Tell us about allergies or dietary requirements when you book and we'll talk you through the options.

Yes. Groups of 20 or more and any corporate booking are handled by our events team rather than the standard online journey -- they can put you on adjacent lanes, arrange catering and a drinks package, and invoice you rather than take payment on the day. Call Putt & Play Leeds on 08442483226 and they'll build the run of the day around you.

Booking online is the only way to guarantee a lane, and at peak times it matters: Friday and Saturday evenings, school holidays, and wet weekends all fill up hours ahead. Walk-ins are welcome whenever we have space, but during those periods we often have none. Booking ahead also means you choose your time slot rather than taking whatever is free when you arrive.
